As part of our commitment to the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Retention and Qualification of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) strategy, the Ontario ECE Grants Program is introducing an important new step: Validating employment after graduation.
This new measure ensures that our program continues to support your professional journey while strengthening Ontario’s early years workforce.
What this means for you:
After graduation, you will be asked to provide a signed, dated letter of employment on official letterhead confirming your start date.
The program will follow up annually for up to two (2) years to validate your continued employment.
This process helps ensure that the Ontario ECE Grants Program continues to support both your career path and the Ministry’s goal of building a strong, stable, and qualified ECE workforce.
